Precautions should be taken to ensure safety for your young kids. The most important thing is to watch them  at the all times. Even if the home is childproofed, it only takes a fraction of a second for the babies to fall or put their fingers into plug points or  run over to a hot stove, or put the wrong thing in their mouths. Watchfulness is the best way for prevention. However mishaps can still happen. So its important to be prepared and to act wisely rather than loosing mind.

Common cases that have seen at home are falls, fireburns, drowning, poisoning etc.

  • Extreme care should be  taken where there is  water  kept stored in buckets in bathroom or kitchen, water tanks, drainage holes, swimming pools.
  • Kids can fall from furniture, slippery floors, stair-case, bathrooms.
  • Poisonous substances stored at home(eg: for cleaning or pest controllers) should be placed where kids hands doesn’t reach.
  • Medicines have to be kept safe and away from kids.
  • Hot vessels, stove, gas cylinders should be handled carefully.
  • Plug points or switch-boards that can be easily accessed by kids have to be taken care off.
